Determining The Painkiller Rehabilitation Treatment You Require

When you decide that the time is right for you to take advantage of the painkiller rehabilitation treatment we provide, our admissions team will conduct a pre-admission assessment to help you understand the treatment you are likely to encounter at our facility.

Upon entering our residential drug and alcohol rehab, you will then be required to complete a second assessment with our medical team. Although they will already have an understanding of the severity of your addiction, conducting a further assessment will enable them to determine the physical and psychological impact your addiction has had on you.

In doing so, our medical staff will be able to devise a personalised painkiller rehabilitation treatment programme for you.

Common Withdrawal Symptoms

As individuals struggling with painkiller addictions progress through detoxification, withdrawal symptoms are often encountered.

Although these withdrawal symptoms can cause some discomfort, it is entirely normal to experience the following;

• Confusion
• Sweating
• Nausea
• Fatigue
• Anxiety
• Muscle aches and pains
• Restlessness
• Heart palpitations
• High temperature

Although the severity of withdrawal symptoms varies greatly, they typically last for up to fifteen days from when painkillers were last consumed.

As touched on above, it should be noted that at our residential rehab, we provide around the clock care to all of our patients. With this in mind, should you find yourself experiencing any of the above withdrawal symptoms during painkiller rehabilitation treatment, our team of medical professionals and recovery staff will do everything possible to ensure that you are comfortable.

Aftercare Support For Individuals Requiring Painkiller Rehabilitation Treatment

As and when our medical professionals are satisfied with the progress you have made during your painkiller rehabilitation treatment, you will be discharged from our rehab.

Although many believe that as and when they complete rehab, they will be left to continue to recover from their addiction alone, this is not true.

At Ocean Recovery Centre, we understand that insufficient aftercare support is one of the leading causes of relapses. Considering this, we provide all of our patients with 12-months of free aftercare support.

Our aftercare support typically includes weekly catch-up sessions with our recovery team. These catch-up sessions are usually group sessions and are held every Saturday of the year. However, if you require additional support, we can also offer you further one-to-one therapy.

We also encourage clients to engage in local Narcotics Anonymous groups in their local area.
