Asking for help is hard, but the fact that you are reading this page is proof that you are already approaching the appropriate mindset for your recovery.

Many people who are suffering from a drug or alcohol addiction struggle to so much as acknowledge that they are suffering with an addiction in the first place and are in complete denial about their situation. This denial can cause a serious problem.

But if you are searching for terms like “alcohol rehab near me” and “rehab places for drugs” then you are concerned enough to research the problem.

You may also be doing this because you are worried about a friend or family member. We can help you in this situation, with our friend and family referral service.

Why not call Ocean Recovery today for a chat about your drug or alcohol use?

Accepting you need Drug and Alcohol Treatment

The sooner you accept you are suffering from a drug or alcohol addiction, the better chance you’ll have of recovering. No matter how severe your addiction is, treatment is possible. However, every day is important when drugs and alcohol are being abused and the more severe the addiction, the harder it is to treat.

We understand that some people struggle to acknowledge the extent of their addiction. This is particularly a problem to people who have underlying mental health conditions. For your best chance of recovery, we recommend you get in touch with Ocean Recovery in order to discuss available treatment options.

There is no wait for our services, and you can be admitted for a period of drug and alcohol rehabilitation without delay. This is in stark contrast to local NHS services, where there are long waiting lists for alcohol rehab and drug rehab clinics.

The length of Treatment Programmes

It’s very difficult to determine how long a treatment program will last. We usually ask for a 28-day commitment from our clients to our residential rehab, but there are variables that affect the kind of treatment you receive and how long it will take you to overcome your addiction.

When you speak to our admissions team over the telephone, you will be asked about your addiction history. This will give us some insight as to how much treatment you require and which of our drug and alcohol treatment centres will be best placed to help you.

There’s no such thing as cheap rehab, but we will sit down with you to determine your budget and we will find a solution for you within what you can afford.

When you first check in to one of our rehab centres, we will take time to get to know you so that your rehab in Doncaster can be personalised.

Every person is different and every addiction likewise. We will perform a full physical and psychological assessment of your health and identify any underlying causes that may have triggered your addiction.

When you have been checked in to our treatment centre, you will meet your keyworkers and have a tour of our facility before your treatment begins.

Your addiction treatment

Via your rehab, you will complete treatments that we recommend to you. In order to promote recovery, there is a mixture of psychological and medical treatment. You will be able to undergo therapy sessions, both on a group and individual basis.

Therapy sessions generally include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and allow your illness to be treated. Group therapy sessions are useful to share your experiences with other people who are undergoing the same treatment that you are undergoing, and this can serve to motivate you in your recovery, a positive form of peer pressure.

All of your treatments are observed by our medical team in order that you stay safe and in order to monitor your progress.

Your treatment programme begins however with a trip to our detox clinic. This is to ensure that your body flushes away the toxins associated with a prolonged period of drug or alcohol abuse.

This will undoubtedly be the hardest part of your treatment, as your body will react badly to being denied the substances it has become used to.

As your access to drugs or alcohol is tapered away, you will experience withdrawal symptoms. Some of these can be quite serious, which is why it is important that your progress is monitored. When your detox has been completed, you’ll be able to prepare yourself for a return to your normal life in Doncaster.

When your time at Ocean Recovery is drawing to an end, we will prepare an aftercare and secondary recovery programme for you. This will prepare you for your next step in life, a life where you are free of drugs and alcohol.

This may seem overwhelming at first but you will be given all the information you need to thrive in your new found sobriety. We will provide you with access to a 24-hour helpline manned by people who have themselves been in your position and who can offer practical advice if you are experiencing difficulties.
